Conceived years ago and scribbled down in a notebook that was to be lost for months if not years, Pheed.me had a less than auspicious start.  The notebook containing Pheed.me surfaced only after being moved to a barren soulless outpost in the Middle East named Dubai.  Only by skimming through this long lost notebook with dog eared pages and random notes was Pheed.Me found like a beacon of hope calling out to the lost Expatriate.

"Could this be the project that will save me from this wasteland of sand and crumbling overpriced "luxury" apartment buildings?" He thought to himself.

The real estate market that the Expatriate was involved in appeared to be strong, but something odd was happening that the Expatriate couldn't quite put his finger on.  The real estate website his company created was doing better than ever, but one by one the developers he worked with in Dubai stopped returning phone calls.

The Expatriate grew nervous.  He looked around through the summer sand storms only to see nothingness, he realized what he had once thought to be a wasteland was in fact worse, it wasn't real at all, it was a mirage, Dubai was a mirage.

He knew that if he was to escape Dubai Pheed.Me may be his only hope and that he had to start immediately.  With a meeting and a conference call the Expatriate stopped all development on the Dubai real estate project, and like most buildings in Dubai the real estate project was left to stand empty and lifeless.

The Expatriate wandered the desert (resorts) for sometime creating Pheed.Me in his head.

What would it do?

What was needed?

Would it work?

After many a day in the late summer sun of the Middle East the Expatriate had done it, the vision of Pheed.Me had been completed and the process of bringing life to this project would soon begin.

In the dark dregs of Dubai the Expatriate feverishly wrote page after page of notes extracting the project from his mind.

The Expatriate assembled his programming team and presented the notes he had created.  It had begun, both the Expatriate and his lead programmer knew they had embarked on a journey that neither knew the direction of.  Where would it take them? What would be the result?  These were questions they privately asked of Pheed.Me and of themselves, both too afraid to truly answer them.   They pushed forward.

Days became weeks, and then something happened, for you see when wandering the desert trying to bringing life to Pheed.Me, the Expatriate had also brought life to his wife!  A wonderful time soon followed filled with amazing anxiety and pressure that fired the development of Pheed.Me.

The Expatriate and his wife decided it was time to leave the nothingness that had been their dark and dusty home for years.  They watched Dubai as they packed, it seemed to almost crumble in front of them, they shed a tear for this city that had once held the dreams of so many.  Some say Dubai cried for weeks when they left, others say stop being so dramatic it just rained.

Now far away from where Pheed.Me was born, while waiting for the birth of his true child, the now Patriot toils away with his remote programming team watching as Pheed.me giggles, laughs and stands for the first time. Cautiously watching and waiting for Pheed.Me to take it's first steps into life.
